Geocache Description:

Dragsbrua

Dragsbrua ligger midt i Tørvikbygd, ca 600 meter frå lokalbutikken.

Før i tida brukte dei denne 6 meter lange bautasteinen til bru over elva. Den blei bygd i 1870 åra. I 1886 rei Ola Stue frå Øystese over brua på ein hingst. Han blei kasta av hingsten og døde momentant etter å ha landa på ein skarp stein. Dette førte til at dei måtte utvida brua.

Dragsbrua is in the middle of Tørvikbygd, about 600 meters from the local store.

"Over Dragselvi came a bridge in the 1780s when they leyd the six-meter monument stone (Respepili) down for it to become a bridge, above the Stream. In 1876 Ola Stue from Øystese was about to ride over the bridge with his stallion. He was thrown off, and died instantly when he hit a sharp stone. This led to the expanding of the bridge."
