Sark Attack! (Channel Islands) Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Simply Paul: A tad late on archiving this due to other travels - sorry.

An international Thank You! to everyone who came along and helped make this event a small, but memorable one, in amazing weather. Glad I made it in time; it was a pretty close-run thing as I dashed from the other end of the island! Lovely to meet you all (again) and I hope you've put your AANDs to use, or dropped them into caches. Event photos will follow on my Attended log, so add this meet to your watch list if you'd like to see them (so many caches/events to catch up on!) and thanks for uploading yours. Some great shots in there. I hope Sprainpain has recovered from her cycle-tumble too! [:)]
Cheers again folks.

Geocache Description:

Sark Larks on the Channel Island of the same name.
Being held as I enjoyed my last visit here, for an event in 2010, so much.

What/where: A picnic cache event at the viewpoint overlooking La Coupée, which links Sark and Little Sark. There will be caching chit-chat and the swapping of travel items.

When: 2pm-3pm on Thursday June 12th 2014.

Why: Because this beautiful little isle is well worth a visit (this will be my third) and has caches (lots of new ones since my 2010 visit) to temp cachers across the water too. With a 'fire-engine' which is towed behind a tractor and a colourful history, Sark is a stunning location to do a spot of caching and -I think- hold an event. Keep your fingers crossed for good weather. The official Sark website has additional information about the island.

Who: The event is open to cachers and their kids and dogs. I know there are a few cachers local to Sark and it would be lovely to meet them (again?) - New to caching or cache events? You'll be made especially welcome!

How: Several boats from Guernsey would get you here in time for this event. I hope the first of the day still comes with an Early-Bird discont.
