Geocache Description:

Part of the Church Micro series started by sadexploration in November 2007. You will need your own pen/cil.

The church was built between 1876 and 1877 by the architects Bakewell and Bromley. The foundation stone was laid in 1876 and built at a cost £1,300. It was dedicated on 6 March 1877 by Bishop Tozer, an assistant bishop in the Diocese of Lincoln. It was built to provide for the spiritual needs of the growing number of miners and their families in the Butler's Hill area of Hucknall
