The 'Aire de Camping-Car' sites in France are designated overnight stops for self-contained motorhomes (no caravans or tents permitted). There is usually a place to drain your waste water tanks and often there is also electricity and drinking water available on-site for a small fee (sometimes free of charge). Most of these stops are municipal, having been installed by the local community to encourage tourism and trade. You will find a map of the various sites around France by visiting the related web page.
