In 2012, a group of archeologist came to this archeological site to investigate the water system of the Xauxa people who built their city on Tunón hill. Their question was: how did the Xauxa civil engineers manage the water supply for a population of 13,000 people living on top of a hill? This geocache is hidden near part of the answer. They built a reservoir so as to preserve a water supply year-round. You can see the outlines of several pools of the reservoir. One has a farmer’s field planted in it. In another, you can find the test hole that the archeologists dug when they tested the soil for evidence that this was once filled with water.
