These things polarise opinions of people depending on what side of the fence you are. Personally, i'm in favourc of all these "Green Energy" technologies and i would much rather see things like this than another ghastly power station. The debate still rages about them being a blight on the countryside.
the Shelswell Park Solar farm covers an area of approximately 29 acres and uses the latest anti reflective black panels. This produces approximately 5MW of electricty to the national grid, which is enough to power about 1000 homes. Also contrary to belief the land hasn't been taken out of agricultural production but is managed at a lower intensity by grazing sheep under them.
