L’étang de la Folie est, comme la plupart des étangs de la Bresse, entouré par les bois. Cet étang est situé dans la commune jurassienne de Relans. Il a la particularité d’être hanté par des dames vertes.
D’autres légendes existent tout près d'ici. Un bouc noir avec une chandelle entre les cornes tournerait sans cesse autour de l’étang de Gaberie, à quelques centaines de mètre de l’étang de la Folie. Autre animal fort sympathique : un cheval sans tête, qui gardait autrefois l’entrée d’un chemin dans un bois entre Relans et Commenailles.
Par conséquent, soyez prudents quand vous vous aventurerez dans ce village « féerique » et ses alentours, on ne sait jamais. Vous pourrez rencontrer des silhouettes inquiétantes… Mais au final, ça ne pourrait s’agir seulement que d’un pêcheur, un promeneur, ou un autre géocacheur…
The pond of « la Folie » (the madness) is, like most ponds of Bresse, surrounded by woods. This pond is located in a Jura town called Relans. It has the distinction of being haunted by green ladies.
Other legends exist next to here. A black goat with a candle between the horns would turn endlessly around the pond of Gaberie, a few hundred meters from the Etang de la Folie. Another very nice animal : a horse without a head, which guarded the entrance to a path in the woods between Relans and Commenailles.
Therefore, be careful when you venture into this village "magical" and its surroundings... You can meet some disturbing figures ... But after all, it would be only a fisherman, a walker, or a person doing geocaching....
