Geocache Description:

Tricky nanno in mugglesville central. Near a busy road so take care of vunerable cachers. Please bring a pen and tweezers

This impressive example of Victorian Gothic revival stands on the site of one of Norwich's many Gaols. Endowed by the 15th Duke of Norfolk plans were drawn up by George Gilbert Scott Jr in 1882.
The project was completed by his brother John Oldrid Scott after Gilbert's death.

It is thought by many to be the finest building of it's type in the Country. The building was complete in 1910 and stood as a very grand Church until Pope Paul VI recreated the Catholic Diocese of East Anglia and designated this the Church Of Saint John the Baptist as the Cathedral.

It is currently the second largest Catholic Cathedral in England

CONGRATULATIONS CATMANDO ON FIRST TO FIND

“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication. There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
