Norwich Anglican Cathedral was founded by Herbert de Losinga and work began in 1096 and took just 50 years to complete.
It was the largest building in East Anglia and it still has the 2nd longest nave and largest decorated Norman tower in England.
At 44 acres the Cathedral close is is the largest in England and is home to the largest Cloisters in the country.
Norwich has the Dubious honnor of being the only city in England to be excommunicated by the Pope. This happened in 1274 in the 2011 census it also earned the title as the most ungodly city in the country
