It has been a long time since anybody last reported a visual contact of the ferocious Swamp Man. Now though the situation has changed. There have been several reports and phone calls coming in from people who claim they have seen unusual non human like behavior at the outskirts of Sandåsen. One upset and frightened woman recalls as following.
I usually go for a late evening walk at 8 o'clock with our three Border Collie family dogs. We always take the same trail through the forest at Sandåsen where the air is fresh and the quietness and peacefulness relaxes your mind.
Last Thursday when we were walking however I had a strange feeling. That night it was all different. Mixy, the youngest of our dogs, felt something too; she was tense and kept whimpering. Sugari, the eldest, is usually the one leading and sometimes I even have to pull her back by the leash when she gets too excited. This late evening however, she didn´t seem too enthusiastic about the walk.
When we got deeper into the forest where the vegetation turns thicker, the solid ground softer and swamp like, it happened. I heard the noise of branches snapping under the weight of heavy footsteps. Salty started barking. There in the mist I saw something. Since it was dark I could barely see the silhouette of what I would describe as a man standing forward bent, almost like in pain. But no, that was no man, not even anything Peter Jackson would come up with in his most atrocious movies. The creature was plainly horrifying; it had dark green skin with moss like hair growth. The eyes were glowing in the dusk. Its ears were pointy and its hands and feet looked like misshaped tree roots.
I could hear the hissing noise from it breathing through its nose and a distinct sound of teeth grinding that made me shiver. Then it looked up straight at me, it had definitely smelled my sent. Slowly it started to crawl towards me. I immediately turned around and started to run in panic. The slippery ground gave away and I fell on my stomach and banged my head on a sharp root. I got up on my feet again, with blood dripping from my forehead now covering my eyes. The dogs were gone, they had run away and abandoned me. I looked back over my shoulder once, twice and then a third time. To my surprise I saw it had stopped. My heart was now beating and I felt the pulse rising. It was holding something in its hands. It examined it thoroughly and then swallowed it.
When I finally got home and managed to recover my breath I understood what it was. The plastic container I was about to hide in the forest must have dropped from my pocket and that creature, whatever it was, ate it, the woman explained.
Futhermore the story tells that Swamp Man has the strongest stomach. However I happen to know that there is one thing that it can´t possibly digest--> the special Elixir of Life. One drop of this and its inside turns upside down. 1 liter and it will definitely give up all the things it has eaten (estimated time = 1-5min before the effect of the elixir kicks in). Do NOT use the force or it will attack you! One last warning, it may urinate for its defense...
