St Peter, Elford
Note: The above co-ordinates are for the church car park and not the cache itself.
A church has stood on the current site since Norman times but the current building predominantly dates from the mid-19th century.
Church Micro Series
I have enjoyed a number of caches in this series in other parts of the country and was disappointed that Staffordshire had just 3 such caches (Kinver, Norton Canes and Leek) out of over 4000. Hopefully the caches that we place will encourage other Staffordshire-based CO's to contribute to the world's largest series. If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.

The Cache
The cache is not in the church grounds.
It can be found at N 52 (B-1)A.BFF W 001 (B-1)(E+1).(D-3)(C-3)(E-2)
where:
ABCD is the year carved into the outside of the church tower.
EF is the age at which Joseph Wright died. His gravestone can be found at the foot of the wonderful old weeping beech tree in the churchyard. The edge of the tree can just be seen at the left of the photograph above.
