The Church is situated in the private grounds of Caldecote Hall. The Hall was once owned by the Purefoy family, who were Parliamentarians. Besieged in 1642 by Royalists, it was burnt to the ground. The only remaining part, an Oak door - still with bullet holes - now hangs on the porch of the Church.
Access on foot (to the Church only, not the Hall, which is now spilt into private residence flats) is permitted, but there is no vehicular access allowed.
The Church remains active, with services every other Sunday and on major feast days. Sadly it isn't open for visitors to look round.
Given the location, access during the hours of darkness is discouraged.
