The Northern New Jersey Cachers ( NNJC ) will host The 9th annual Geocachers of the North East ( G.O.N.E. ) caching and camping event. This year's theme is "NJ's Mountains and Forests"
VIEW AT SUNRISE MOUNTAIN
Everyone, NNJC MEMBERS AND NON MEMBERS are welcome to come join in the fun!
The G.O.N.E Event has become a fall geocaching tradition in Northern New Jersey for the past 9 years when it started in 2005. Geocaches for all over the North East have come and enjoyed this camping event.
LOCATION: Stokes State Forest, The Stony Lake picnic area
DAY EVENT: Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 Starts 10 AM to 4 PM, then move to Sunrise Mountain, which closes at 10PM
NEW CACHES: a series of caches will be placed around the sunrise lake trail.
PICNIC MEALS: Lunch will be pot luck, Please bring food to share, and post in your log what you will bring! there are grills available to cook too.
We need the following
Main Lunch items Hot dogs & rolls, Hamburgers & rolls sandwiches, etc...
Drinks Water bottles, iced tea, soda
On the side... Fruit Salad, Pasta Salad, Potato Salad, Salad greens, Assorted Chips
Dessert cookies, cakes, brownies, cupcakes
Other necessary items... Plates, utensils, napkins, cups, etc mustard, ketchup charcoal, fluid
SUNSET: We will meet at The crest of Sunrise Mountain which is one of the most frequently visited sites in Stokes State Forest. The mountaintop provides a breathtaking view at an elevation of 1,653 feet above sea level. We will enjoy a sunset view and new cache going live too.
