Camp Allegany

Allegany State Park is the setting for the 9th annual Allegany State Park GeoBash.

Directions: Rt 86 to Exit 19, take ASP2 to Camp Allegany

You can always count on affordable family fun at the ASP GeoBash, this year our Mascot is the Spotted Salamander.

Articus66 is once again the winner of our design contest!
Here is his winning design for the ASPGB IX Geocoin.
Congratulations Articus66 and thank you again for another great design!

There will be other events throughout the weekend like the big bonfire Friday nite. Flash mobs in nearby Bradford, Pa and Salamanca, Ny. are always a good time.

Saturday, we plan plenty of fun for the whole family at Camp Allegany. When you first arrive, you'll want to sign in at the Welcome Center and get a schedule of the day's activities. Games and educational seminars in the morning, then around noon we'll all gather for the group photo. Be sure to support the GeoBash and buy some tickets for our raffle, you could win some of the great prizes our sponsors have donated. We'll have vendors with all the latest geocaching gear and you'll also want to visit the ASPGB store for this year's event clothing, geocoins and pathtag designs. You may get to meet one of Groundspeak's Lackeys or maybe even one of the local "celebrities". After a day of laidback fun, you may be ready to tackle some of the more strenuous caches that are placed on the beautiful mountains surrounding the area. If that's not your thing, there are plenty of easier caches to seek. As the sun sets on Redhouse Lake, coordinates to the Night Caches will be released. If you're up for this unique type of geocaching, bring a good flashlight and a friend. Either way, the beauty of Allegany State Park cannot be denied and we want to share it all with you. Come for the weekend or the day and stay in one of the Park's campgrounds or cabins or stay at one of the nearby hotels/motels. A list of accomodations, maps, and the latest updates can be found here on The ASP GeoBash website.
