Root of a tree (Auckland) Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Curglaff: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

We went to Cornwall Park as a family the day before and I spotted some really nice locations hidden from general view on our little adventure. So, returned the next day to place caches as there were none in the vicinity and the natural beauty was not to be missed.

This cache is hidden on the edge of the small "valley" on one side of the main hill. It is along an unofficial track, as people not wanting to walk up the road usually go on a small adventure. As you walk, you will come across two very unique trees, which I have not seen anywhere else, and hence the reason for hiding the cache.

The cache is a small honey container and contained a log book, pencil, sharpener, and some small toys on placement.
