Matosinhos é uma cidade portuguesa pertencente ao Distrito do Porto, Região Norte e sub-região do Grande Porto. Pertence ainda à Grande Área Metropolitana do Porto.
É sede de um município com 62,30 km² de área e 175 478 habitantes (2011), subdividido em 10 freguesias. O município é limitado a norte pelo município de Vila do Conde, a nordeste pela Maia, a sul pelo Porto e a oeste tem costa no oceano Atlântico.
No litoral da cidade situa-se o Porto de Leixões, o maior porto artificial de Portugal e principal porto marítimo da Área Metropolitana do Porto. Parte do aeroporto internacional do Porto abrange os limites municipais.

It is the seat of a municipality with 62.30 km ² and 175 478 inhabitants (2011), divided into 10 parishes. The city is bordered to the north by the municipality of Vila do Conde, by Maia northeast, south and west by the Port has coastline on the Atlantic Ocean.
On the coast of the city is the Port of the largest artificial harbor in Portugal and main seaport in the Porto Metropolitan Area. Part of the international airport of Porto covers municipal boundaries.
