Jewish Martyrs Monument





[en] A beautiful monument, very close to the city center, built in the memory of the Holocaust victims.

Starting with 2004, October 9 is the National Day of Commemorating the Holocaust in Romania. October 9 was chosen as a date for this event because it marks the beginning of Romanian deportations of Jews to Transnistria, in 1942.

When visiting the place, remember the history, so that we won’t have to repeat it’s mistakes!

[ro] Un frumos monument, foarte aproape de centrul orasului, construit in memoria victimelor Holocaustului.

Incepand din 2004, pe 9 Octombire se sarbatoreste Ziua Nationala a Comemorarii Holocaustului in Romania. 9 Octombrie a fost aleasa ca data pentru acest eveniment intrucat marcheaza inceputul deportarii evreilor romani catre Transnistria, in 1942.

Cand veti vizita acest loc, aduceti-va aminte de istorie, pentru a nu-i repeta greselile!
