The oval, after 2 decades of lobbying, funding and at times, pleading, opened for the 2012 CHFL football season.
Here Afl, Soccer and Netball are all played during the winter months. There is currently works underway to move the bowling club here and if some passionate locals get their way, so too will a heated pool (but don't hold your breath for that).
What was once a bit of a wasteland is now a busy little sporting precinct.
