UPDATE ON 14/07/16: UNFORTUNATELY THE CHURCH IS BEING SOLD PRIVATELY. Trying to get the cache going but some changes are needed as access to the garden will not be possible anymore. Please be discreet when looking for the clues.
There used to be a smaller church on the south side of this one which had been built to serve the farming community of the area but it became too small. The present church was built for a larger congregation while the first church was kept for Sunday school. At the time there were a lot of children to educate. For years, the church had been struggling to remain open with 8 or 9 church goers. It will now become a private house.
There used to be a 200 year old cross, made of farm posts, hanging on the garden wall, over the benches. It is now gone in preparation for the sale..
At the time of placing the cache, I had gathered this information from a kind gentleman on a Tuesday morning when I stopped by. The church was open for coffee morning on that day, and everybody was welcome.
Now for the cache. You are looking for a cache smaller than a micro.
At the given co-ordinates, you are standing in front of the church.
- Look on the West side of the church (on the side only - not the front): how many single buttresses = A
- Look on both sides of the church and find the total of double windows= B
- The number of small (main) round window on the front of the church = C
- Look across the road towards the bent, find the speed limit a bit further = D is the first number
Updated on 14/07/16 - The cache can be found at
