Geocache Description:

Found at least 25 of the 32 Spring Grove Area GeoTour caches? Then come out and redeem your geocoin on September 21, 2013 beginning at noon Meet your fellow geocachers and enjoy the days events at our new location!


When: Saturday, September 21st

Time: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM – Stay for Fireworks

Where: Grounds of the Spring Grove Middle School

Who: Open to all geocachers, families, and anyone interested in geocaching.

What: An event to redeem your Spring Grove Area GeoTour Coin, meet fellow cachers, exchange stories, swap travel bugs, and enjoy the days great events. Be sure to plan to stay the entire day to enjoy the great food, games, entertainment and finish the evening with a great fireworks display!


Schedule of Events:

12:00 – Dusk Coin Redemption for cachers with 25 finds on the GeoTour. GeoTour tent will be open all day as a meet and greet.

12:30 – 1:30 Signal Appearance
Get your picture with Signal and have the option to purchase high resolution digital images

12:30 – 6:00 Kids’ Coloring Contest
Head over to the coloring contest area and hang up your completed picture for judging Categories Ages 3-8 and 9-12

12:30 – 7:00 GeoBingo
Pickup your bingo sheet and mark off the spots Place your winning sheet in the bingo ammo can

1:00 – 6:30 Toss the Ammo Can
Walk up and see how far you can toss the ammo can Categories: Children (12 and under), Men, Women – Playoffs from 6:30 – 6:45

1:00 - 6:30 Film Can Toss
Who can get closest to the pin? – Playoffs from 6:45 – 7:00 Categories: Children (12 and under), Men & Women

1:00 - ?? Coordinate or Not?
Purchase a pumpkin and see if it contains coordinates to a prize….or not. Pumpkins: One for $1.00, six for $5.00, Fourteen for ten $10.00

1:15 Group Picture

1:30 – 3:30 Rubber Ducky Scavenger Hunt
Grab your sheet and follow the clues to the rubber ducks we have hidden. The harder they are to locate the higher point value you will receive.

3:00 – 4:00 Signal Appearance
Get your picture with Signal and have the option to purchase high resolution digital images.

4:00 – 6:00 “GeoRun”
Grab the sheet of coordinates and head out to collect your “poker” hand. Once you have a hand of five, head back to the event to see if your hand wins!

7:30 Raffle prizes will awarded. Unclaimed prizes will be redrawn.
