(LAT) Cēsu pilsētu rietumos no Raiskuma pagasta nodala dabīga robežšķirtne Gauja, kas apmēram 6 km garumā tek gar Cēsīm. Teritorija no pilsētas ziemeļrietumiem līdz dienvidrietumiem atrodas Gaujas senlejā, kam raksturīgi stāvi krasti, vecupes un mitraines. Gaujas tuvums pilsētai ir svarīgs resurss aktīvā tūrisma attīstībai. Pilsētas teritorijā ir labiekārtota viena pludmale un kempinga vieta pie Žagarkalna. Cēsu pilsētu šķērso vairākas upītes (Siļķupīte, Glūda, Pirtsupīte, Vinterupīte), kas ietek Gaujā. Vairākas mazās upītes meliorācijas rezultātā ir pārveidotas un vietām upes ir iegrožotas ar lietus ūdens kanalizācijas sistēmu. Pilsētas mazās upītēm ir liela loma pilsētas vides pievilcības veidošanā. (ENG) West of the city of Cesis district Raiskuma natural boundary separating Gauja which is about 6 km in length runs along the Cesis. The area northwest of the city to southwest Gauja River valley, which is characterized by steep banks, oxbow lakes and wetlands. Gauja proximity to the city is an important resource for active tourism. urban landscaped area is a beach and camping site at Zagarkalns. Cesis city is crossed by several rivers (Siļķupīte, smooth, Pirtsupīte, Vinterupīte) which flows into the permit. Several small rivers have been altered as a result of drainage and places River has been curbed by rain water drainage system. Situated in the small rivers is a major role in the attractiveness of the urban environment.
