Geocache Description:

The women of Crescent Trekkers and Scrabblers are at it again. The Girls went on the Road in 2009, took to the Trails in 2011, and now (in 2013) are back on the Road! This time we found places in Gaston County with interesting backgrounds or places that were just plain intriguing.

Please feel free to add your own stories of these places in your log.

In the early 50's Tommy opened this drive in.  Legend has it the original Tommy started out with an ice cream cart in 1947.

That evolved into hot dogs — or “red hots” as they were known to his patrons. The establishment, which incidentally is no longer a drive-in but a sit-down café, was born.  Regulars remember the days when they could get a bag of burgers for just $1 or two.
