Geocache Description:

It appears that the first and third caches in the series happen to be some of the more difficult ones - so if you struggle here don't despair and give up as most are much easier than these!

A shortish trail of about 6.5 miles up the East Dart valley from Postbridge, crossing the Dart at the waterfall and following the Powder Mills leat back to Postbridge.

There are no hints or spoilers for this series, but the majority of the hides are fairly simple with the occasional more difficult one.

None of the caches are placed in or on dry stone walls and none are in gorse bushes. Being Dartmoor, several are "under a rock"!

18 of the caches in this series contain a bonus number for one of the 3 bonus caches, and it is therefore necessary to find the caches in their numerical order.

WARNING: To complete this series, it will be necessary to cross the East Dart river at the waterfall. River crossings on Dartmoor always contain an element of danger and should NOT be attempted unless you are fully confident and capable to do so. Do not attempt to cross the river when the water level is high.

The weather on Dartmoor can change suddenly and unexpectedly and ALL types of weather conditions can be experienced. Please ensure that you have the correct clothing and map & compass (and know how to use them). Please do NOT rely solely on your GPS.

This cache has been placed with the kind permission of the Dartmoor National Park Authority in accordance with their Geocaching Guidelines
