Turopoljske ljepotice, drvene kapelice, jedinstvene su u svijetu po načinu gradnje i po svojoj ljepoti. Njihovo postojanje seže još u rani srednji vijek, no većina sačuvanih datira iz 17. stoljeća. Gradili su ih palirski i tesarski majstori i njihove družbe od hrastovih greda, većinom iz Turopoljskog luga. Krovovi su prekriveni hrastovim pločicama (šindrom). Na širem području koje obuhvaća i Pokuplje i Posavinu do danas je sačuvano više tih kapelica. Sagrađena je u drugoj polovici 17. st., prvobitno je posvećena Sv. Apostolu, a potom Sv. Ivanu Krstitelju, prema glavnome kipu na oltaru iz 1696. g. Oltar je ukrašen bogatom baroknom rezbarijom lišća akantusa. U kapeli je posebno vrijedan unutarnji prostor sa sasvim rustičnim slikarstvom sačuvanim još na svodu i zidovima. Svod je oslikan scenama Rastanka Apostola. Na zidovima kapele naslikani su likovi Evanđelista – Sv. Matej i Sv. Ivan na sjevernom, te Sv. Marko i Sv. Luka na južnom zidu. Važno je napomenuti da ovo slikarstvo spada u vrlo rijetko sačuvano pravo pučko slikarstvo, koje se razlikuje od onoga iz drvene crkve Sv. Barbare u Velikoj Mlaki. Ova je kapela, ujedno bila i uzorak za niz drvenih kapela u Turopolju i Pokuplju u postbaroknom razdoblju.
