Amsterdam-Atlanta Foreign Exchange Program Mystery Cache

Cache description :

• The Atlanta Area Geocachers have reached out and formed a sister caching relationship with the Amsterdam Area Geocachers. To commemorate this friendship across the ocean, the two groups have created a unique cache in both countries. It's called the "Amsterdam-Atlanta Foreign Exchange Program. In order to find this cache, you must go to GC4D9GQ and team up with a Foreign Exchange Cacher to get the information you need to find the cache in your area.

Rules :

• Cachers can go to this link and post a note that they are looking for a Foreign Exchange Cacher to help them find the cache in their area.
• The Foreign Exchange Cacher will go to the posted cords on their cache page to get information to help their Foreign Exchange Cacher find the cache in their area (example: The Atlanta Cacher will go to the cords post on the Atlanta-Amsterdam Foreign Exchange Program cache page and get information that will help the Amsterdam cacher find the Amsterdam-Atlanta Foreign Exchange Program cache) and vice versa.
• When posting a "found" log, the finding cacher would want to put in their log who they teamed up with to find the cache.
• Cachers who have already "found" or have teamed up with another cacher should not help anyone else.

Finding the cache :

• Go to the posted cords and you will find a set of numbers that represent ABCDE. The top numbers at this location will help the Foreign Exchange cacher in Atlanta find their cache. It order to find this cache, your Foreign Exchange cacher will need to go to the posted cords for GC4D9GQ and get the numbers from that location to help you find the cache in Amsterdam. This cache is located at:

E 004° 50. (D-C+1) (B-C) (C)

Difficulty/Terrain :

• The hide itself is a 1.5 difficulty with a terrain of 1.5 and a 3.5 challenge difficulty. With all of this combined, the cache is rated as a 5 difficulty with a terrain of 1.5. A special prize will be awarded to the first cacher who is able to find both caches and sign both logs solo (without any help from any cachers).

Container :

• The container is a small lock and lock type container with room for travel bugs and small trade items.

• De Atlanta Area Geocachers zijn een caching zusterrelatie aangegaan met de Amsterdam Area Geocachers. Om deze transatlantische vriendschap te vieren, hebben de twee groepen een unieke teamwork cache gecreëerd in beide landen. De naam van deze cache is respectievelijk "Amsterdam-Atlanta Foreign Exchange Program"/"Amsterdam-Atlanta Uitwisselingsprogramma". Om deze cache te vinden. moet je naar GC4D9GQ gaan en een samenwerkingverband beginnen met een ‘Foreign Exchange’ cacher in de buurt van Atlanta om de informatie te krijgen die je nodig hebt om deze cache in Amsterdam te vinden.

Regels :

• Cacher kunnen naar deze link op de geocaching forum pagina toegaan en een bericht neerzetten dat ze op zoek zijn naar een cache om mee samen te werken.
• De ‘Foreign Exchange’ Cacher gaat dan naar de coordinaten van GC4D9GQ om de informatie te vinden die nodig is om de coordinates te verkrijgen voor de cache aan de andere kant van de ocean. (Bijvoorbeeld: De Atlanta Cacher gaat naar de coordinaten van de ‘Atlanta-Amsterdam Foreign Exchange Program’ cache pagina in Atlanta en krijgt daar de informatie die de Amsterdamse cacher nodig heeft voor het vinden van de Amsterdam-Atlanta Foreign Exchange Program cache in Amsterdam) en vice versa.
• Bij het plaatsen van een "Found it" log, graag de naam van de cacher neerzetten waarmee het samenwerking verband was aangegaan zodat het een leuke herinnering is voor laten en anderen kunnen dan zien wie de samenwerking reeds gedaan hebben.
• Cachers die de cache reeds "gevonden" hebben of al een teamwork verband zijn aangegaan kunnen dit niet nogmaals doen. Een cacher kan het teamwork verband dus met maar met 1 andere cacher aangaan.

Het vinden van de cache :

• Ga naar de bovenstaande coordinaten. Ter plekke vind je een vijf cijferig nummer ABCDE. Dit nummer heeft de Foreign Exchange cacher nodig om de cache in Atlanta te vinden. Om de cache in Amsterdam te vinden, moet de Foreign Exchange cacher naar de geposte coordinaten van GC4D9GQ toegaan. De nummers van die locatie zullen je helpen met het vinden van de cache in Amsterdam. De cache in Amsterdam ligt op:

N 52° 23. (B) (B-A-1) (C+4)

E 004° 50. (D-C+1) (B-C) (C)

Moeilijkheid/terrain :

• De verstopplek is moeilijkheid en terrain zijn beide 1.5, maar in combinatie met de challenge is het wel een 5 moeilijkheid waard. Een speciale prijs is beschikbaar voor de cacher die beide caches zonder enige hulp van een andere cacher weet te vinden.

Container :

• De container is een klein tubberware bakje met ruimte voor swag en travelbugs.
