Geocache Description:

Sidetracked caches are designed for geocachers who travel by train and want to have a quick cache and grab between train journeys. This cache can easily be retrieved in a spare 5 minutes. It is not located in either of the platforms. The cache contains just a log. Bring your own pen and replace carefully.

Wilnecote Train Station is a two platform unmanned railway station located in Wilnecote, Tamworth. The tracks run under the old A5 - Watling Street. Trains on the track run between Birmingham New Street and Nottingham and is used by local commuters mainly to get to Birmingham. Trains do not stop here very often, but you may want to travel the couple of minutes between Tamworth and Wilnecote using the train so you can get both local SideTracked caches. Equally you can do both caches as drivebys. Wilnecote station has a layby with space for a few cars giving you chance to quickly grab the cache.
