Geocache Description:

Kvarner – a perfect venue for your holiday or short break: interesting, hospitable and full of surprises – a feeling that stays in the heart to be treasured whenever you like. It is is a region of interesting stories and strong emotions.

KVARNER Cache 36 is located near the entrance to Kamačnik Canyon -  a 3.2 km long right tributary of the Dobra River and protected landscape since 2002 covering 7444 ha. Through the canyon leads the pedestrian path with a series of bridges and galleries. Part of the canyon is covered with forests. The stream that flows through has a beautiful blue-green color.

Kamačnik is a canyon and its entrance can be reached by the asphalt road leading from the center of Vrbovsko towards the train station and continuing straight on for approx. 1 km crossing the railway track and up to the restaurant where the Kamacnik stream flows into the river Dobra.
Recommended tour starts from the car parking area at the restaurant from where you follow marked path leading up the stream towards its source. At several points the path crosses the flow of the Kamacnik on the wooden bridges. Use the same path to return to the starting point.
The length of the tour is 6,3 km with the elevation between 370 - 600 m and very easy to manage within 2 hours.
