The cache is hidden in the garden of the castle. Please approach it only through the main entrance and do not climb through the fence!
Opening hours: every day from approximately 9 am to sunset. The entrance is free.
Although the history of Nagymágocs dates back to the 15th century (1426), the village has still less than 4000 inhabitants. The place is famous for its spectacular castle, which was erected in the end of the 19th century (1896-1897) by István Károlyi, who was an earl in the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy. In the garden visitors may see a number of rare, exotic plants, as well as trees older than 100 years and a lake where you may fishing or boating.
However the building itself serves as a care home for disabled people after the second World War, some of its parts (as the main stairs, the chapel and the knight's hall) may still be woth for visiting.
