The Gnome Knows...
Parking coordinates are listed. This area is right off of Rt. 68 between the center of Hubbardston and Gardner. You have to look carefully to see the small dirt road that leads to a parking area, depending on what vehicle you have, you might want to park on the side of Rt. 68. I have a non AWD SUV and have no problems. Please don't let the condition of the road/parking area dissuade you from doing this cache, it is a relatively level walk on a well defined old cart road. The walk is about .6 miles round trip for the three caches.
GeoCaptRex thought of this cache, when I heard his idea, I just couldn't wait to help him put it together. Both of our caches in the area were thought of by him and he did a lot of the work for them. I am so proud that he has caught the bug, his is my Geo-Partner-In-Crime! To start the cache off, GeoCaptRex has added some goodies (for the kids) and a trackable.
Gnomes are funny little creatures. They like to use items that they can find from the human world to decorate their homes. It is rumored that this gnome likes to make his home in trees that have fallen down. He also likes to camouflage the entrance to his home, but he does do a lot of outdoor decorating. Hopefully, he won't be home when you get there, he isn't always nice. Don't worry though, he is probably more afraid of you than you are of him.
