Geocache Description:

I think the original cache was muggled by a Crow, after all it was shiny and easy pickings if that is the case. Cache is now a small PVC pipe about 10 inches in length and no longer winter friendly. Olive and Oliver disappear south for the winter so their name sake cache will disappear under the snow as well.

This stretch of the 690 is home to many types of water fowl and birds of prey includng a new pair of Osprey that I have named Olive and Oliver. This nest is new this year and I hope to see them return in years to come. If you are lucky you can also spot the occassional moose, racoon are abundant and skunks and porcupine as well. I recently spotted a rather large Golden Eagle circling this new nest and both Olive and Oliver made it very clear he was not welcome here. The new cache has been relocated just little ways past the nest which is pictured here. There is not much parking space here and this is a well travelled stretch of highway so proceed with caution when pulling over, there is room for one vehicle to park at the new location.
