Horitschon gilt als eine der führenden Rotweingemeinden Österreich. Das wichtigste Ereignis des Jahres ist das Horitschon Rotweinopening zu Pfingsten.
Bei der beliebten Keller-Tour laden die Winzer zu Besichtigungen und Verkostungen der edlen Tropfen in ihre Keller ein.
Um das höchste Gut des Ortes zu ehren, wurde vom ansässigen Gastronomen (gasthof-trummer.com) diese kleine antike Weinpresse aufgestellt. Die Auszeichnung zum Bundessieger mit Blaufränkisch, zeigt die enge Verbundenheit mit Rotweinen und weist auf die erfolgreiche Geschichte des Weinbaubetriebs, der früher zum Gasthof gehörte, hin.
Seit ein paar Jahren ist der Ort um eine Attraktion reicher, denn in der Nähe der Presse befindet sich die Draisinentour (ein Raderlebnis auf Eisenbahnschienen - mehr Infos unter www.draisinentour.at).

Horitschon is handled as one of the leading red wine communities Austria. The most important event of the year is Rotweinopening at Pentecost.
At the popular cellar tour, the vine dresser invite to taste their fine wines in their cellars.
To honor the greatest good of the village, this small antique wine press was set up by the local restaurant and hotel (gasthof-trummer.com). The award for the Championship of best Blaufränkisch wine 1988, shows the close ties with red wines and the successful history of the vineyard, which is related to the restaurant.
Since the last years the place has one more attraction, near to the wine press, the Draisinentour (a cycling adventure on train tracks - more info at www.draisinentour.at) can be found.
