This particular spot was one of the first Dartmoor walks for Mr and Mrs F (and Archie) soon after they met in 2001. Once at the parking follow the path that eventually takes you up to Trowlesworthy Tor, branch off left and head down towards the Plym, being careful to avoid the boggy sections. This area is also a Scheduled Ancient Monument (SAM) and was used as a rabbit warren site to provide meat for the tin mine workers nearby. The cache is on a bank near to the waters edge with a lovely view up towards Legis Tor. An excellent spot for a picnic away from the crowds at Cadover! Take care with children especially around the rivers edge and with dogs as there can be a large amount of sheep in the area especially at lambing time. The cache is a large clip lock box with plenty of space for swaps/TBs. The cache is not placed in any walls and should involve a simple search to locate. This cache has been placed with kind permission of the National Trust.
There's £1 in the box for the FTF, a Parrot TB and plenty of other items that we have accumulated during the last few years caching
Cache placed as per GAGB guidelines
Congratulations to Millray inc for the first to find
