Peruskätkö Finnoonpuron välittömässä läheisyydessä.
Finnoonjoen silta uusittiin Länsiväylän alta vuonna 2008. Samassa yhteydessä Espoon kaupunki rakensi paikalle uuden kevyen liikenteen alikulun. Alikulku rakennettiin helpottamaan Länsiväylän pohjoispuolella asuvien liikkumista merenrantaan.
Itse huomasimme kyseisen reitin vasta reilu kolme vuotta myöhemmin lenkkeillessämme alueella. Tällöin mieleemme nousi ajatus geokätkön perustamisesta paikkaan, joka vaikutti lähes käyttämättömältä oikotieltä ja ehkä muillekin vielä tuntemattomalta. Geokätkön perustaminen jäi kuitenkin tuolloin odottamaan parempia aikoja.
Tänään päätimme viimein 999. kätköilypäivämme kunniaksi perustaa ensimmäisen kätkömme. Kätkön sijainniksi valitsimme tämän oikotien, sillä hämmästykseksemme paikka olikin vielä kätköä vailla.
Alueella heikko GPS kuuluvuus, joten katso tarkka sijainti kartalta. Kätkö on pieni pakasterasia ja se pitää sisällään pienen kaukaa kotoisin olevan apuvälineen FTF metsästäjälle. Moottoritien lähelle ei tarvitse mennä.
Basic cache next to Finnoonpuro.
The Länsiväylä bridge over Finnoonpuro was renovated at 2008. During the renovation, the city of Espoo also created a new walking/cycling path beneath Länsiväylä to make it easier for people living on the north side of Länsiväylä to access the seafront.
We noted this new route only after three years since its creation while jogging on the area. At that time we thought about creating a cache in this seemingly unfamiliar place. However that idea was forgotten over time.
At 18.4.13 we decided to celebrate our 999th caching day and finally create our very first own cache. For the hiding place we chose this area we had thought before as - to our big surprise - it did not have any cache yet.
The GPS visibility is very low in this area, so please look the exact position from the map. The cache is a small freeze box. There is no need to go near the motorway.
