I've really enjoyed the "GwPS" series of puzzle caches in the east valley so I thought I'd do something somewhat similar in the north and/or west valley (or wherever I happen to be to drop off a cache).
These "Word Games" puzzles will be just what they sound like. Some type of game or puzzle based around words or meanings of words.
To find this cache you'll need to find a 9 letter word from the puzzle below. Convert the letters to digits using the conversion a=1, b=2, c=3, ... i=9, j=0, k=1, ... z=6. Let the first three digits be ABC and the last three digits be DEF. Add .ABC minutes to the latitude and .DEF minutes to the longitude of the posted coordinates to the final.
There is something in common thematically with all the answers. Use the shaded word with this common word to find the 9 letter puzzle answer.
So, just in case that was confusing, here is what to do:
- Solve the various clues above
- Determine what word or phrase those answers have in common
- Use that word or phrase along with the shaded word to determine a new 9 letter word
- Do the math above with that 9 letter word
