"Sound of Music" is north of the Northgate Golf Course. You can four wheel close to the site. I recommend hiking from the end of the housing development in this area and follow four wheel roads. The last half mile can be steep depending on your approach.
A brown ammo box is hidden under a large red boulder in a thinly forested area. This is a themed cache that I would like visitors to follow if possible. Please bring an audio CD (no copies) to exchange with one of the CDs in the cache. Please make comments in the log book. If you bring along your CD player you can listen to new music on your way back down. At present, there are five CDs in the cache.
This is a nice location for a picnic. You are likely to see deer move through this area on their way to the creek below.
If you follow the road near the creek north, it soon becomes a motorcycle trail that connects to the Peavine road. Not far from that intersection is another cache called "Watchtower".
