Geocache Description:

This is a very special place for me. This is where my Grandmother and I on our weekly visit to Sydney sometimes come to. We both agree after my ten years of school holidays and her over thirty years of coming to Sydney once a week that this has to be our favorite spot (so far). Both the first Waypoint and the final cache are situated on a walking trail that goes from Mosman wharf around to Cremorne point, then continues to Neutral Bay. There are multiple ways to get here. Firstly you can always drive here. Secondly, (what we recommend) is to use public transport. Catch the Mosman ferry from Circular Quay and go to the Mosman stop if you would like a 30-40min walk or Old Cremorne 15-20min walk. Then use the Cremorne point wharf to catch a ferry back to the Quay. Way point one will look like this: photo DSCN9903_zpse6f8c525.jpg At the given coordinates there will be a sign explaining some of the history of this area. Find on the sign the year that the point was first subdivided in. For the Southing. Add 119 to this. then divide this number by 3. This will give you the last three numbers to the southing. For the Easting. subtract 1085 from the same year used in the easting. This will equal the last three numbers in the Easting. This will take you to one of the best and most fascinating public gardens I have seen. The garden was made by, well, you can find the sign it is quite obvious as you will have to pass it some time in you travels. The garden is in a beautiful setting and fairly close to WP1. Please take you time in the garden to explore the trails and TAKE LOTS OF PHOTOS TO POST WITH YOUR LOG. Please try not to give away gz in the pictures though. I hope you enjoy your time in this Point of beauty, one of Sydney's many hidden gems. Happy Caching!
