D'après la légende, Saint Martin était poursuivi par des soldats romains. Sa monture avait la particularité de faire des bonds prodigieux. Ainsi, en prenant appui sur la pierre, elle marqua de son empreinte le grès pour se retrouver dans la vallée de la Clarence, non loin de Pernes. En passant trop près de l'église de cette ville, elle accrocha la flèche du clocher duquel ne reste plus que la tour.
Si vous êtes fatigué(e), mettez le pied dans l'empreinte et la fatigue disparaîtra sûrement !!!
According to the legend, Saint Martin was pursued by Roman soldiers. Its frame had the peculiarity to make prodigious jumps.
