Geocache Description:

This cache is located near the filiming site of the classic 80s movie The Great Outdoors starring John Candy and Dan Ackroyd.
Ducey's Bass Lake Lodge was built here in the early 40s and served as the set for Wally & Juanita's Perks Pine Lodge in the in movie. Sadly, the rustic lodge burned down shortly after the filming of The Great Outdoors. A new Ducey's was rebuilt along the lake about a mile away at The Pines Village. The original Ducey's site now features several custom built homes.
