It is time for the Spring Cleaning along Highway 30 in Benton County. This 2 miles section has been adopted by Iowa Geocachers Organization and is between CR-V66 (Blairstown turn off) to the East and roughly 16th Avenue to the West. Our signs are posted!
Parking is in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery on the North side of the road about 5 miles West of Youngville Cafe.
Please bring your grabbers, gloves and rain gear just in case. Rubber boots or a change of footwear is good if it has rained recently. We will have "pokey sticks", DOT trash bags and safety vests and bottles of water. (we will also bring some hand sanitizer wipes)
Meet up at the cemetery parking area at 9:00 am and that is also where we will meet for quick picture & prize drawing after.
This area does not look to terribly bad and if we get a nice size group we can "knock it out" in under 2 hours. There are no restrooms along this area and no businesses, this is all rural area. Please plan accordingly. We plan on calling it done by 11am so there is time to get to the other events planned for the day.
