The UK 2013 Mega committee invite you to join us as we look forward to next year's Mega Event.
In only a few months the UK's 6th Annual Mega Event will be held at the Heritage Motor Centre having brought geocachers from all over the world to celebrate our unique hobby. But in between now and then we have a lot of hard work ahead of us with planning and fundraising. Why not pop along to meet some of the team and hear our plans? We’ll also be running a small fundraising raffle and have plenty of geocoins and other merchandise on sale.
The Talbot is a fantastic venue. A traditional coaching in set in the Worcestershire village of Knightwick, the Talbot is conveniently situated on the The Three Choir’s Way, Geopark Way and Worcestershire Way. The Talbot is an ideal stopping off point for the outdoor enthusiast who enjoys walking, biking, fishing, horse riding and of course geocaching. Why not enjoy some of the fantastic walks and you never know there might be a few caches published to coincide with the event!
Back at the inn, the Lounge Bar will provide a lively atmosphere, where the ales can be appreciated whilst exchanging geocaching tales, or warming cold toes before the huge open fires. For those hungry souls, bar food is available from 12 onwards and the onsite restaurant is open at lunchtime and during the evening. Dogs are welcome to attend as well as they are very much welcome in the Bar Lounge. What’s more is that the Talbot is home to the Teme Valley Brewery – caching and home produced ales all in one place! What more could a cacher want?
The 2013 Committee would be very grateful if people could donate a raffle prize to use either at this event or at a different time, helping to raise funds for the Mega.
