Geocache Description:

A traditional cache near to the village of Trusham and close to the old railway station. From your chosen parking, the route is going to be on a road - please note the roads can be narrow here so beware of vehicles from several directions. There is room in the cache for very small swaps and trackables. Please cover well upon returning.
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PEN FTF Congrats to Bertskins&Worthski.

Trusham station opened on the 9th October 1882 as part of the Teign Valley line and closed in 1958 to passengers under the auspices of British Railways. Freight traffic in the form of parcel delivery and collection as far as Christow continued until April 1965. Looking at this country station today and the surrounding area, this must have been such a beautiful journey through the Teign valley villages and on into Exeter. Trusham station building is just as it was upon closure some 48 years ago and has been a private dwelling since the late sixties. A good part of the main platform is still visible and the shed next to the main building that has a curved tin roof is also a survivor from the rail era.
You can see quite a lot from the bridge and road but please respect the privacy of the stations current occupants as much as possible.
