Noite de 24 de Abril de 1974. A rádio passa a música \'E Depois do Adeus\', de Paulo de Carvalho, senha para os inicios das manobras do golpe militar, sendo respondida pouco depois pela contra-senha com \'Grândola Vila Morena\', de Zeca Afonso para confirmar. Por todo o país existe movimentações de tropas. Na manhã seguinte as tropas da Escola Prática de Cavalaria de Santarém, comandadas pelo Capitão Salgueiro Maia partem em direção a Lisboa, com a intenção de ocupar o Terreiro do Paço.
A chegada à baixa de Lisboa é feita com a população a acompanhar os tanques e blindados. São distribuidos cravos vermelhos aos militares. Algum tempo depois, são enviadas tropas para o quartel do Carmo, onde o chefe do governo, Marcelo Caetano se encontra.
Nessa manhã de 25 de Abril o povo falou mais alto e derrubou a ditadura fascista que comandava Portugal à 44 anos. A liberdade foi conseguida sem se disparar uma única bala, no que seria chamada \'A Revolução dos Cravos\'.
O local onde esta cache se encontra, tão longe de todos estes eventos, foi chamada durante muitos anos como \'Aldeia Vermelha\', tal era a ideia de comunidade que aqui existia.
Nasci aqui muitos anos depois de tudo isto, e ainda se sente o mesmo espirito. A aldeia vive a comunidade de uma forma que poucos locais conseguem. O trabalho em conjunto leva esta terra a desejar coisas maiores, e enquanto se combate a desertificação do interior, Cem Soldos tende a crescer.
Liderada pela associação cultural local, a população recebe formação e se desenvolve contrariando a ideia de um interior estagnado.

Night of 24th of April of 1974. The radio plays the music \'Depois do Adeus\', by Paulo de Carvalho, password for the begin of the movements to the military act, being answered by the music \'Grândola Vila Morena\', by Zeca Afonso to confirm. All around the country there are movements of troops. In the next morning the troops from the Practical School of Cavalry of Santarém, commanded by the Captain Salgueiro Maia start moving to Lisbon, with the intention to occupy the Terreiro do Paço square, house of the Portuguese government.
The arrive to Lisbon\'s downtown is made with the population next to the thanks and armed cars. In the streets the people offer red carnation flowers to the soldiers, Some time after, troops are send to the Carmo barracks, where the chief of state, Marcelo Caetano are.
In that moment of 25th of April the people as talked and they overthrew the fascist government that commanded Portugal for 44 years. The liberty as been build without shooting one bullet, in the moment called \'The Carnation Flowers Revolution\'.
The place where you find this cache, so far from this events, as been called as \'Red Village\', because of the idea of community that here existed.
I was born in this village many years after the dictatorship but still feel that feeling of community The village lives as a real community in a way that very few places can do. The population works together taking the village to think bigger, and when most of the interior fights against desertification, Cem Soldos are growing.
Leaded by the local cultural association, the population receive formation and develops themselves going against the idea of an stagnant interior of Portugal.
