The Methodist Chapel was built by the Primitive Methodists in 1859 and cost about £100. There are a few records surviving for this chapel from the late twentieth century, but nothing from the early years. The records that have survived can be found at the Record Office for Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland.
We struggled to find any more detailed information, but will update as we do. But we do know that this has been, and still is, a very active church. My (Pat) family connections go back to my grandmother who was very involved in Church activities and to me as a child and I have happy childhood memories of Sunday School, Church Anniversaries and Harvest Festivals etc. Peter and I were married here in 1983.
The cache is located outside of the church, so you will not need to go inside the church premises to locate or retrieve the cache. Please bring your own pen
