Kenley Common is one of six commons in the south of the London Boroughs of Croydon and Bromley which is under the care of the Corporation of London and protected by specific legislation of 1878 which was produced in response to concern at the rapid disappearance of open spaces around London.
One of the other six is host to another cache: Farthing Downs .
The cache itself is a white tuppaware container. It contains a variety of small goodies. Please sign the logbook and take a photo with the camera.
Please take care not to stray onto the aerodrome. There are clear signs and yellow lines indicating the boundary of the site.
The nearest place to park is in Golf Road, about 10-15 minutes walk from the cache.
There are some good views of the surrounding area and of the aerodrome to be had. You may also want to visit the RAF Kenley tribute at the other end of the aerodrome (about 15-20 minutes walk from the cache).
