POWER TRAIL – KM VERTICAL
Este Power Trail – KM Vertical tem como objectivo dar a conhecer a Levada da Negra.
A caminhada para este Power Trail tem início no sítio do Curral Velho, em Santo António, a caminhada é feita, maioritariamente ao longo desta levada, onde inicialmente temos eucaliptos e alguns pinheiros, posteriormente encontramos uma vegetação rasteira, que está a recuperar dos incêndios de Agosto de 2010 e também da retirada do gado das serras de Santo António e São Roque em 2003.
Em dias sem nuvens conseguimos ver lindas paisagens, assim como o Funchal em pano de fundo.
Não esquecer de levar roupa e calçado adequado, visto que o tempo muda facilmente, assim como também água, comida e claro o GPS.
Também aconselho a não fazer esta caminhada só e em condições climatéricas adversas.
O Power Trail começa nos 700 mts de altitude e termina nos 1500 mts de altitude, com uma dificuldade média-alta, com a duração de 2 a 3 horas, dependendo da condição física de cada geocacher.

The walk to this Power Trail begins at the site of the Curral Velho, in Santo Antonio, the walk is made mostly along this taken, where initially we have eucalyptus and pine some later found a ground cover, which is recovering from fire August 2010 and also the removal of cattle from Santo António saws and San Roque in 2003.
