Geocache Description:

This is a four stage multi that will lead you along the trail of some of the survivors of the zombie apocalypse. Time is of the essence, their numbers are dwindling. Even though society has dissolved, some of the stages are hidden on game lands. Use appropriate precautions! Wear blaze orange and don't act like a deer. Or a zombie for that matter.

How it all began is still a mystery. A natural phenomenon. Some government experiment gone awry. Who knows. It doesn't matter. The dead have risen and the only thing that matters now is survival. Rich has been carrying around this ammo can since we left Atlanta. He says it is of critical importance. It just looks heavy to me.  When we made it to Mark's farm, we thought we had truly found a sanctuary. But they continued to come. At first it was just a few here and there. They were relatively easy to dispatch with a machete or arrow. But then the herds got bigger. And once we started using the firearms to put em down, the noise just attracted more. We were eventually overrun and that's when we lost Rob and Linda. It broke my heart, but their deaths allowed us to escape. In the confusion Nora and Chuck got separated. We spent weeks on the road. Then we found the prison. It was perfect. Security, food, medical supplies and weapons. But we had to clear it of zombies first. Eventually that task was complete but somehow, they just kept coming. Eventually the numbers were so great that we knew they would breach the fences. So we made a plan to move on. Rich wanted to leave a message for those that came after us. Possibly Nora and Chuck. It didn't make any sense to me, but Rich says they'll know how to read it and trace our path. We slipped out the east gate with the help of a diversion on the west side of the prison. Just in time too. As they massed on the west fence, the gate gave way and in they came. We took what we could carry and thankfully found a new shelter. There weren't many undead here but with all the rooms they seemed to pop up at every turn. We were barely there a week when Mark was bitten on the hand. But Rich's quick yet gruesome thinking saved his life. It was as if the smell of blood drew them in and we had to hide in the woods. Not very far as we were stopped by a fence. Rich left another clue near the 7th or 8th post just in case someone human was looking for us. Please someone ALIVE be looking for us. We headed east, but as we approached a fork in the road we saw a herd approaching. They numbered less than 20, so we were able to put em all down quickly. But more were coming so we hid in the woods until they passed. Guess they can't smell us after all. Rich decided to leave another clue. A trophy of sorts. Hope you can find it. We're moving on. We've used up all the food we had. We came across a well stocked pond. With any luck we can catch some supper. Rich decided this would be the best place to leave the ammo can. I don't know what's in it but he says that in the right hands it could save humanity. I hope he's right. If, or rather when we have to run again, we can move quicker. Maybe this place is secluded enough that none of the zombies will come here. Maybe.
