IGO .… Do You CITO??
April 27, 2013 -- 11 AM to ?? 2 PM ??

The Iowa Geocachers Organization has adopted a new section of highway for twice-per-year litter removal in the spirit of geocaching’s mission of “Cache-In-Trash-Out”!!

This newest section is in Clinton County at the western edge of Clinton’s city limits on US Highway 30 between mile markers 325 and 327. This segment has been ‘un-adopted’ for some time and the inaugural cleanup will probably fill several bags of litter so,
we need your help!!

The posted coordinates are where we will park and gather for a short safety and instructional meeting before we head out in teams to complete this community service. The parking location is on the north side of Highway 30 at Eastern Iowa Petro across from the entrance to the Equistar/Lyondell Chemical plant. Please come prepared with proper footwear for hiking, gloves, and any special ‘pickup’ tools that you prefer. There is NOT a nearby restroom, so plan accordingly. The Iowa DOT requires that everyone wears a safety vest which will be provided to you, so please post the number of people attending in your ‘will attend’ log so that enough vests are available for everyone participating.

At the conclusion of our cleanup, a group picture will be taken and a quick door prize drawing will be held.
The door prizes will be five gift certificates for a free meal
at the Clinton Pizza Ranch post-CITO Meet and Greet event GC44814.

The more, the merrier!! If we get enough cachers involved, there will be plenty of time to cache a bit around the Clinton area before the post-CITO party at the Pizza Ranch!!
