Small cache in Brimley - suburb of Bovey Tracey. The approach to GZ is not difficult but wheelchair users will struggle to get to cache. There is plenty of parking opportunities in the roads nearby.
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PEN.
It seems kind of odd having a stop here when Bovey was just up the way. However a small halt there was and very scenic too in its heyday. Also quite a late opener, 1928 and closed even before Beeching in 1959. There is no evidence that it even existed since the A382 construction removed all traces. When it was open, there was a single 72 foot platform and a wooden shelter on the up side - there were also two benches and was reached by a cinder path sloping down from the main Ashburton Road. This cache is situated quite close to the site of the halt and indeed a road almost opposite has been called Brimley Halt as a reminder.
