Geocache Description:

A large cache with beautiful views placed to rectify the dearth of caches suitable for swapping trackables in the East Belfast area.

I grew up in East Belfast but found that when I came home to visit my family there were plenty of nano and micro caches about, but relatively few large enough to drop off Trackables. This is my solution: a TravelBug motel.

You don't have to be dropping off or swapping a TB to visit the cache, but it's an ideal cache for those in the area/passing through who have held onto any trackables for a little bit too long and want to send them off on their journey again (as well as discover new ones).

The (old) Belmont Road is ideally placed for a TravelBug motel, as it is a secluded road yet just off the main route over the Craigantlet hills between Belfast and Bangor. Very few cars come down the road, and so you should be able to have a good look around without being discovered. Plus, there's an incredible view over the whole of Belfast to enjoy any time of the day (which I suggest you approach from the waypoint/the top of the road for best views).

The cache itself is a large clip-lock box, large enough to accomodate even large trackables inside the cache itself, with space for unusually large ones within the cammo bag.

You have no need to enter into any private ground to retrieve the cache, it's accessible from the road. Just give a little look out as there are houses relatively close and you never know what muggle eyes could be spying...

There's a wooden Czech geocoin for the FTF, as well as a variety of TBs to get the Motel up and running. Happy caching!
