This multi-cache takes you on an adventure through the "Kuhlscheier", undoubtedly one of the most beautiful corners of Luxembourg. This ca.4.5km hike is suitable for children aged around six years or older (but take good care of them at the "Belle Vue"!). The route is not suitable for pushchairs or bicycles.
The cache visits the same places as the classic Inselkind "Atterkopp" cache (now archived), with a few extra stations and a new Final which is easier to find and much less dangerous. As a tribute to "Atterkopp", we have incorporated its remaining stations into this cache wherever possible, and tried to keep this cache consistent with the much-loved Inselkind "style".
Leave your cachemobile at the recommended parking, make sure you have a torch (flashlight) in your rucksack, and proceed to Station 1.
Station 1: THE NUMBERS ON THE WALL
From this spot, you should clearly see twelve large numbers on a nearby wall.
A = The number closest to the ground
Station 2: THE MICRO. This was the starting point for the old "Atterkopp" cache.
Search for a micro, in which you will find the value of "B", as well as some information which will come in useful later in the cache.
(Emergency backup: Multi-tree at N49°46.030 E006°20.000)
Station 3: THE HUT. This is a very nice place for a picnic.
Look inside and find fifteen trees on an information panel.
C = Number of medium-sized trees
D = Number of small trees
Now cross to the other side of the stream and try to find the entrance ("Entrée") to the Kuhlscheier.
Station 4: KUHLSCHEIER
Switch on your torch and enter. Look for an original remaining part of the old "Atterkopp" cache, which will give you the value for "E" (and confirm your value for one of the other letters).
After exiting the Kuhlscheier, take the first path to the left and make your way up to the viewpoint.
Station 5: BELLE VUE. Attention! Dangerous cliffs! Stay on the paths and take good care of your little ones!
F = The number of vertical metal rails surrounding the viewpoint. (Count only those which are higher up than the metal step.)
After completing the task and exploring this cool area, come back down to the junction and follow the Mullerthal Trail away from the Kuhlscheier until you come to the next station.
Station 6: DÉWEPETZ
In July 1997, somebody carved the date into the rocks here. On which day?
G = Checksum of day.

Station 7: RITTERGANG
As you leave this formation, you can identify certain characters on the rock.

THE WAY BACK: After logging the final, go to N49° 46.688 E006° 19.780, then take the path to your right.

Dieser Multi nimmt Euch auf eine Abenteuerreise durch die "Kuhlscheier" mit, zweifellos eine der schönsten Ecken von Luxemburg. Diese ca. 4.5km Wanderung ist geeignet für Kinder ab sechs Jahre (aber bei "Belle Vue" muss man gut auf sie aufpassen!). Die Strecke eignet sich nicht für Kinderwagen oder Fahrräder.
Der Cache besucht die gleichen Stellen wie der klassische Inselkind-Cache "Atterkopp" (archiviert), mit ein paar zusätzlichen Stationen und einem neuen Final, der leichter zu finden und weniger gefährlich ist. Als Hommage an "Atterkopp" haben wir der wenigen verbliebenen Stationen in diesem Cache integriert, und versucht, den Cache im Inselkind-Stil zu erstellen.
PARKING:
Parkt Euer Gefährt am empfohlenen Parkplatz, nehmt eine Taschenlampe mit und begebt Euch zu Station 1.
Station 1: DIE ZAHLEN AN DER MAUER
Von dieser Stelle aus solltet Ihr zwölf große Zahlen auf einer nahe gelegenen Wand sehen.
A = die Zahl die dem Boden am nächsten ist
Station 2: DER MIKRO. Dies war der Ausgangspunkt für den alten "Atterkopp" Cache.
Sucht nach einem Mikro, in dem Ihr den Wert von "B", sowie einige Informationen, die sich später als nützlich erweisen werden.
(Notfall Backup: Multi-baum N49°46.030 E006°20.000)
Station 3: DIE HÜTTE. Dies ist ein sehr schöner Ort für ein Picknick.
Innen findet Ihr fünfzehn Bäume auf einer Infotafel.
C = Anzahl der mittelgroßen Bäumen
D = Anzahl der kleinen Bäume
Überquert nun den Fluss und versucht, den Eingang ("Entrée") zur Kuhlscheier zu finden.
Station 4: KUHLSCHEIER
Schaltet Eure Taschenlampe ein und gehet rein. Sucht nach einem vom alten "Atterkopp" Cache ursprünglichen Teil, das Euch den Wert für "E" gibt (und den Wert für einen anderen buchstaben bestätigt).
Nach dem Verlassen der Kuhlscheier nehmt den ersten Weg nach links und macht Euch auf den Weg zum Aussichtspunkt.
Station 5: BELLE VUE. Achtung! Absturzgefahr! Bleibet auf den Wegen und gebt auf die Kinder acht!
F = Die Anzahl der vertikalen Metallpfosten um den Aussichtspunkt. (Zählt nur die, die über der Metallstufe sind.)
Nach Abschluss der Aufgabe und Erkundung dieses kühlen Raums, geht weiter nach unten bis zur Kreuzung und folgt dem Mullerthal Trail von der Kuhlscheier bis Ihr zur nächsten Station kommt.
Station 6: DÉWEPETZ
Im Juli 1997 hat jemand das Datum in die Felsen graviert. An welchem Tag?

Am Ausgang der Formation könnt Ihr Zeichen am Felsen sehen.
